• Please send good quality, digital photos by email rather than social media. I am very happy to receive a number of different options and discuss which ones would make the best portraits.  

• I understand in some cases good quality photos are not always available and can look through any you have and we can discuss the best way to go about the portrait.

• I use a variety of surfaces but favour drafting film as I personally like a smooth lay down of the pencils.  

• Portraits are drawn using a combination of Faber Castell colour pencils and Caran d'Ache Luminance colour pencils.  These brands of pencils are lightfast which means the colour does not fade over time. I also use Pan pastels in some of my backgrounds.

• On completion your portrait will be professionally  mounted on acid free mounting board and wrapped in acid free acetate to protect it and will arrive ready to be framed.

• Postage within the UK is included. 
• Portraits can be shipped worldwide with currency conversion rates agreed at the time of booking.
• Customs tax and any costs further to shipping will be covered by the client.

• I offer two sizes of portrait : Standard and Medium which are roughly A4 and A3 as a guideline which most people are familiar with.

Standard  portrait  £250

• Dimensions: A4 (9" x 12", 22cm x 33cm)
• This is a good size for the head and chest of a single subject

Medium  portrait £350

•  Dimensions: A3 (12" x 16", 30cm x 40cm)
• This is a good size for single head & chest or double and triple portraits, and full body portraits

• The size relates to the paper size and the portrait will be a good size on the page.

• Prices are based on one subject with 25% added per extra animal

• Please note more than one subject will need a Medium sized portrait 

•  Larger or square  portraits are also possible which I am happy to discuss on an individual basis.

1) How far ahead of time do you need to book your portrait in? 

The sooner the better.  If you have a specific date in mind please let me know. Also with Christmas being the busiest time it is better to book these portraits in as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment.

2) How long does the portrait take to complete? 

That depends on the size and number of subjects in the portrait. Colour pencil art is a slow, detailed process with a lot of layering required so portraits can take anything from 20 to 35 hours for a Standard sized portrait and longer for a larger one. 

Turn around time varies depending on how many portraits are booked in at the time but if you have a specific date in mind please let me know at the time of booking.

3) How will the portrait arrive? 

The portrait will be professionally mounted and protected by acetate and wrapped in bubble wrap and thick cardboard to protect it for postage.

4) Can you do 2 or 3 subjects on the same portrait using separate photos? 

Yes - no problem. Send the photos and we can discuss the possibilities.

5) Do you offer payment plans? Yes - after the 25% booking fee is received we can discuss a payment plan.
